Celebrity Cruises announced the necessity to cancel a series of upcoming voyages scheduled for 2024-2025 on three of its ships due to "adjustments in deployment plans".
While these cancellations might pose an inconvenience to guests, the Royal Caribbean-owned company is committed to rectifying the situation by providing substantial compensation.
Specifically, the maintenance schedule for Celebrity Apex has been rescheduled, resulting in the cancellation of the following cruise departures:
- 9th November 2024 – 12-night Transatlantic
- 21st November 2024 – 9-night Caribbean
- All sailings between 8th March and 26th April 2025 – various Caribbean cruises.
Celebrity Constellation's deployment in 2025 has been modified as the ship is now set to homeporting in Tampa Florida. Consequently, all cruises scheduled from 11th January to 3rd April 2025 have been canceled, except for one departing on 1st March. The canceled sailings will be substituted with newly devised itineraries.
Celebrity Equinox's entire 2024-20225 South America season has been replaced with a Caribbean deployment.
To address the disruption caused by these cancellations, Celebrity is taking proactive measures. The company is in the process of reaching out to all guests impacted by these changes, ensuring they are well-informed about the situation. The guests will have the option to receive a full refund for their bookings, including those that were initially made using future cruise credits, which will be promptly reinstated.
In a further step to demonstrate their commitment to guest satisfaction, Celebrity Cruises is offering an additional compensation package in the form of onboard credit for future cruises. This compensation will amount to $200 for guests who had reserved regular staterooms and $400 for those who had chosen accommodations in The Retreat.
