Crystal Symphony has returned to service after a substantial drydock refurbishment (conducted by Fincantieri in Trieste Italy) under the new A&K Travel Group's ownership. Departing from Piraeus-Athens (Greece) on a maiden voyage, the 600-passenger ship marks a significant milestone alongside sistership Crystal Serenity.
Cristina Levis (A&K Travel Group's CEO) expressed pride in having both Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity back in operation within a year, emphasizing their commitment to delivering inspiring journeys to sought-after destinations.
Crystal Symphony's itineraries include destinations like Santorini, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Sydney, Auckland, Papua New Guinea, and Bali for the remainder of 2023.
Crystal Symphony collaborated with GEM, a renowned cruise ship architectural firm, to renovate select passenger staterooms and introduce new categories, including the Junior Crystal Penthouse Suite and Single Guest Room with Ocean View.
The luxurious ship now offers 10 dining options, including Umi Uma (by chef Nobu Matsuhisa) and Osteria D’Ovidio (for traditional Italian cuisine).
Guests can also enjoy a full-sized sports court (for playing paddle tennis and pickleball court), a revamped fitness center, and the rejuvenated spa concept, Aurora, offering a range of advanced treatments.
Furthermore, Crystal has announced plans to collaborate with European shipbuilders to develop 4 new ships in the next 6 years, including classic and expedition vessels.
