DCL-Disney Cruise Line has officially named its 7th vessel, which will be called Disney Adventure.
This announcement was made during the "A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" panel at Destination 23.
Previously known as the Global Dream while it was being constructed for Genting Cruise Lines, Disney acquired the unfinished vessel in November 2022 and commenced its transformation in August 2023.
Disney Adventure will become the fleet's largest, with passenger capacity of ~6000, or ~50% bigger than the fleet's current largest vessels. The volume/GT- tonnage is projected to reach ~208000, potentially securing a spot among the top 10 largest cruise ships globally.
Designed for the Southeast Asian market, Disney Adventure will be homeported in Singapore year-round, at least through 2030. Although the exact maiden voyage date remains unconfirmed, preliminary reports have suggested a potential launch in 2025-Q4, though this timeline may be subject to adjustment.
This news closely follows the comprehensive unveiling of Disney Treasure, the upcoming addition to the DCL fleet scheduled for 2024. Disney Treasure is the second TRITON-class ship in the fleet, joining the sisteship Disney Wish.
