Seabourn, a leading provider of ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, has announced its inaugural expedition voyages to the South Pacific and the Kimberley coastal region in 2024 aboard its newest expedition ship - Seabourn Pursuit.
Between March and October 2024, Seabourn Pursuit will traverse the Pacific Ocean, visiting numerous culturally rich and naturally beautiful islands and warm-weather destinations, including Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Guam Island USA, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, and northern Australia's Kimberley coast.
These voyages will offer guests immersive expedition experiences designed to connect them with the beauty and wonders of these destinations. Included expedition activities such as Zodiac cruising, nature walks and hikes, scuba diving, and snorkeling will be available on most itineraries. Additionally, the ship will provide optional expeditions featuring dives using two custom-built luxury submersibles and kayaking at select destinations. The onboard expedition team, comprising 24 experts including scientists, scholars, and naturalists, will offer guests unparalleled knowledge and guidance throughout their expedition voyage.
The 2024 South Pacific and Kimberley itineraries aboard Seabourn Pursuit include:
- The South Pacific from Chile to Melanesia: Voyages of various lengths between March and October 2024 will take guests between the South Pacific islands and the coast of Chile. These itineraries will provide numerous opportunities for adventure.
- Papua New Guinea & West Papua, Indonesia: In May, June, August, and September 2024, Seabourn Pursuit will operate 15-day voyages to Papua New Guinea and West Papua, Indonesia, with options for extended voyages of up to 35 days. The region offers exceptional snorkeling and diving experiences at protected reefs.
- The Kimberley: During June, July, and August 2024, Seabourn Pursuit will offer six 10-day voyages in the Kimberley region, traversing between Broome and Darwin. This region in northernmost Western Australia is known for its unique landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich Aboriginal culture.
Seabourn Pursuit, which entered service in August 2023, provides an ultra-luxury small ship experience with capabilities to explore diverse environments, meeting PC6 Polar Class standards. The vessel offers modern technology, spacious indoor and outdoor guest areas with panoramic views, and advanced equipment such as a 4K GSS Cineflex Camera for broadcasting live imagery from miles ahead on monitors throughout the ship.
