On Sunday, September 24th, Resorts World Cruises embarked on its inaugural voyage from Hong Kong to Sanya, utilizing the Resorts World One cruise ship.
This momentous journey marks the commencement of 2 and 3-night Sanya cruises departing from Hong Kong. These cruises set sail twice a week, specifically on Wednesdays and Sundays, with a frequency of every fortnight. Offering cruise fares starting at HK$1,200 (US$153) per guest based on twin sharing, Resorts World One provides travelers with convenient access to one of Hainan's premier destinations. Sanya is renowned for its stunning coastlines, picturesque landscapes, unique seafood delicacies, and rich cultural heritage, all of which attract travelers seeking memorable experiences.
To celebrate the inaugural voyage of Resorts World One to Sanya, a special celebratory event was held on the ship prior to its departure from Hong Kong.
This official ceremony, signaling the commencement of cruises to Sanya, was attended and presided over by notable figures, including Mr. Li Zhongguang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Hainan; Mr. Lau Chun, JP, Acting Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism Bureau of Hong Kong; and Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises. Following this ceremony, the Governor of Hainan and representatives from the Sanya Tourism Board embarked on Resorts World One's voyage to Sanya, where preparations were underway to warmly welcome disembarking guests upon its inaugural arrival on the following day, Monday, September 25th, 2023.
The highly connected transportation infrastructure in Hong Kong, encompassing flights, land and high-speed transportation, sea and ferry connections to Mainland China and international destinations, makes Resorts World One easily accessible to overseas travelers and mainland Chinese residents, particularly those from the Greater Bay Area. International travelers from countries listed under Hainan's "59 Visa Free Entry Eligible Countries" can enjoy the convenience of not requiring a Chinese visa when embarking on a cruise from Hong Kong to Sanya, subject to specific terms and conditions.
