The iconic winged funnel design, a hallmark of CCL-Carnival Cruise Line vessels, will soon grace Carnival Freedom once more. Currently under construction, the replacement funnel is among several planned enhancements for the ship.
The 3000-passenger Carnival Freedom has embarked on a 16-day drydock refurbishment project at the Navantia's shipyard in Cadiz-Sevilla, Spain. Notably, this marks the shipyard's maiden endeavor in designing and crafting a Carnival funnel.
Beyond the funnel's replacement, several exterior refurbishments are slated, including new decking installation and the incorporation of the distinctive Carnival red, white, and blue hull design seen on most fleet vessels. An addition of note is the Heroes Tribute Bar, paying homage to veterans and active-duty service members, accompanied by various other improvements.
Further details about the enhancements made to Carnival Freedom will be disclosed upon completion of the shipyard work.
