Major river cruise companies operating on the Nile River in Egypt have adjusted their cruisetour itineraries in response to the recent events in Israel.
AmaWaterways, which sails on Nile River with AmaDahlia boat, has temporarily suspended its 4-night post-cruise land package in Israel, effective up to January 5, 2024. Guests who booked the post-cruise Israel package are receiving refunds for the Israel land portion and the Cairo to Tel Aviv (Haifa) airfare.
Avalon Waterways, in partnership with Globus, has canceled all Nile River cruise Israel extensions until November 15, 2023. Fortunately, no Avalon guests were directly impacted by the cancellations, as there were no Israel extensions booked.
Uniworld, operating in Egypt the ships SS Sphinx and River Tosca, has canceled Jerusalem post-cruise extensions departing until October 31, 2023, extending their sympathies to those affected by the situation in Israel.
Viking, operating in Egypt the boats Viking Ra, Viking Osiris and Viking Aton, has canceled a "select number" of Jerusalem (Ashdod) voyage extensions as part of their "Pharaohs & Pyramids" itinerary.
