CCL's ship Carnival Freedom, featuring her iconic winged funnel, recently resumed her service with a 14-day transatlantic voyage from Barcelona Spain to her homeport in Port Canaveral Florida USA. This return followed an extensive refurbishment, which included the installation of the new funnel, the iconic Carnival red, white, and blue hull livery, and several other improvements.
The 2,980-guest vessel underwent a comprehensive 16-day dry dock at Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz Spain. Notably, this renovation marks a milestone for the shipyard, as it was the first time they designed and manufactured a Carnival funnel, contributing to the ship's vibrant transformation.
The enhancements also encompass a newly introduced Heroes Tribute Bar (deck 5), an expanding feature across the CCL fleet that pays homage to military veterans and active-duty service members. Carnival Freedom's deck plans now also show the Dreams Studio (deck 3), allowing guests to capture and preserve cruise memories with the assistance of Carnival's photography staff. Further work involved an expansion of the Casino, along with renovations and upgrades in both staterooms and public areas.
Carnival Freedom's 14-day Transatlantic crossing from Spain (RepositionCruises.com) is a unique itinerary with call ports Valencia, Malaga, and Las Palmas, Spain, as well as Bermuda's King's Wharf.
From Port Canaveral, CCL's Freedom ship offers 4- and 5-day roundtrips to The Bahamas (Nassau and Princess Cays) as well as other Caribbean island destinations like Grand Turk. Additionally, several new itineraries have been introduced for the liner, some of which include visits to CCL's new exclusive Bahamian destination Celebration Key, (starting in 2025).
