MS Ambition (Ambassador Cruise Line) arrived at 6:00 a.m. and will remain at the North Pier for 11 hours. The vessel has a capacity for ~1200 passengers and 670 crew members. The 1999-launched ship gas LOA length of 216 m and recently underwent renovations. Ambition arrived from Lisbon and is en route to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canaries).
Following closely, MS Azura (P&O Cruises UK) arrived at 7:00 a.m. and was stationed at the South Pier until 9:30 p.m. She sailed from Tenerife and will proceed to Santa Cruz de La Palma (Canaries). The 2010-launched vessel has LOA of 290 m and the capacity to host 3000+ passengers and 1200+ crew members.
Lastly, at 11:00 p.m., MS Mein Schiff 1 (TUI Cruises) arrived from Las Palmas (Canaries). She will remain berthed in Funchal for over 24 hours, most likely at the North Pier, departing at midnight on Tuesday (Monday to Wednesday) en route to Santa Cruz de La Palma. The 315-m ship has a capacity for ~2900 passengers and ~1500 crew members. She will welcome two more ships on Tuesday, AIDAstella and MSC Divina, both scheduled to arrive on the final day of October.
