NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line is expanding its Prima Class with the introduction of the Norwegian Aqua, scheduled to set sail in April 2025.
This 1,056-foot (322-meter) vessel will accommodate 3571 passengers and introduce innovative features, including the world's first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide called the Aqua Slidecoaster. This thrilling attraction offers dual slides and utilizes a magnetic lift to propel guests through two distinct courses, providing three stories of high-speed twists and turns around the ship's funnel.
The ship's offerings also include the Glow Court, a digital sports complex with an interactive LED floor, which transforms into a nightclub at night. It will feature favorites from the Prima Class, such as The Drop (a 10-story free-fall slide) and the Stadium, a newly expanded game space.
Norwegian Aqua will offer the largest accommodations at sea with the debut of Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites within The Haven, a keycard-access-only complex. These two-story suites feature three bedrooms, king-size beds, spacious balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide stunning ocean views.
The Haven on Norwegian Aqua will be the largest complex of its kind in the fleet, featuring 123 suites, an expansive sundeck, an infinity pool overlooking the ship's stern, an outdoor spa with a glass-walled sauna and cold room, two hot tubs, and an exclusive bar serving rare spirits and vintages. Guests in The Haven will enjoy 24-hour butler service and a dedicated concierge team.
Solo travelers will have access to the Studio Lounge, available to those staying in NCL's signature Studio staterooms. Additionally, NCL's Aqua ship will introduce expanded solo stateroom options, including solo inside, solo oceanview, and solo balcony, all at fares lower than the cost of double occupancy.
The ship features Ocean Boulevard, an outdoor walkway encircling the vessel with a glass bridge called Oceanwalk. It also boasts Infinity Beach, offering expanded views and serene pools on both sides of the ship, as well as La Terrazza, an open-air lounge with sweeping sea views.
Norwegian Aqua's hull will feature captivating artwork created by renowned Filipino-American artist Allison Hueman, making her the first major female hull artist for NCL.
The inaugural voyages for Norwegian Aqua will be 7-day itineraries departing roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Florida USA, with stops in Puerto Plata Dominicana; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay Bahamas.
Starting in August 2025, the ship will offer 5- and 7-day voyages to Bermuda from NYC New York USA before embarking on 5- and 7-day roundtrips to the Eastern Caribbean from PortMiami Florida, beginning in October 2025.
