China's inaugural domestically-constructed large cruise vessel, the Adora Magic City, was officially handed over in Shanghai on Saturday, November 5.
This remarkable cruise ship boasts impressive specifications, measuring 324 meters (1062 feet) in length with a volume/gross tonnage of 135,500 tons. It provides accommodation for up to 5246 passengers within 2125 staterooms. Featuring 16 decks, the ship offers an expansive 40,000 m2 (430,556 ft2) of public living and recreational space.
The new ship's interior design expertly fuses Eastern and Western aesthetics, harmoniously blending traditional and contemporary styles. Throughout its main hall, theater, and other key public areas, passengers will encounter a variety of wall paintings and art decorations that draw inspiration from the ancient Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road.
Onboard, tourists are treated to a rich program of live entertainment, including sitcoms and immersive music shows.
The liner is scheduled to commence commercial operations from the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal on January 1, 2024.
Ticket bookings for the inaugural voyage became available on September 20, 2023.
