In response to the surge in luxury cruise travel, the demand for premium yachting has reached an unprecedented level, notes industry veteran Larry Pimentel. Former CEO of Azamara and current President and CEO of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd (the parent company of Four Seasons Yachts) Pimentel has observed a shift in the spending behavior of affluent travelers seeking extraordinary experiences.
The new Four Seasons-branded cruise line Four Seasons Yachts is currently slated for launch in 2025-Q4.
The fleet's first boat (14-deck luxury yacht Four Seasons I) will navigate the Mediterranean and Caribbean. The vessel has 95 passenger accommodations/all suites, including the 4-floor Funnel Suite (spanning four decks). The unique Funnel Suite boasts a huge sundeck/outdoor terrace accommodating six people, floor-to-ceiling glass windows for 280-degree sea views, and even a private wading pool. Other suites offer private balconies for additional sea views.
Four Seasons Yachts will also include a substantial 20m swimming pool, complemented by an elegant lounge area, and a dedicated Marina for water-based activities such as swimming, snorkeling, sailing, and windsurfing. The ship's marina area will span its entire width, featuring platforms, lounging decks, and al fresco seating.
With 11 onboard restaurants and a staff member for each guest, the high-end yacht ensures a luxurious experience. Guests can even rent "sea limousines" for transfers to dry land.
Reservations for the first voyages, beginning in January 2024, will be by invitation only, and the cost starts from US$ 2,500 (GBP 2,005) per person per night.
