Oceania Cruises has scheduled a comprehensive drydocking of the 1250-passenger ship Marina.
The drydock refurbishment (planned for May 2024) will introduce 3 new dining options: Aquamar Kitchen, a wellness-focused venue; an expanded poolside ice cream parlor offering inventive flavors from artisan ice cream company Humphry Slocombe; and a new casual al fresco trattoria featuring sumptuous Italian dishes, including freshly-made pizzas.
Marina is the last in Oceania's fleet to undergo refurbishment, resulting in a total of 8 new or upgraded ships. The newest vessel -Allura, is slated to launch in 2025.
Marina, along with the sistership Riviera, pioneered the concept of food-focused luxury ships, featuring an onboard cooking school and substantial galley space. Oceania Cruises is recognized for its culinary excellence, dedicating a high percentage of crew members to the dining experience.
The addition of Aquamar Kitchen, a wellness-inspired restaurant serving breakfast and lunch with complimentary offerings, is a highlight of the refurbishment. The restaurant will feature premium non-alcoholic wines and mocktails crafted with non-alcoholic spirits. In the evening, Waves Grill will transform into an alfresco trattoria and an all-day ice cream parlor will be added to the pool deck.
Marina's private and public spaces will also undergo refreshing updates, including reimagined upper suites, enhancements to the classic steakhouse Polo Grill, and a complete refurbishment of Penthouse Suites with custom-crafted furniture, updated lighting, and sleek restyled bathrooms. Public spaces such as Martinis, Horizons, The Grand Dining Room, and the Library will receive elegant updates to maintain a sense of grandeur.
The refurbished Marina is scheduled to debut on May 18, 2024, ensuring a refreshed ambiance while maintaining Oceania Cruises' commitment to warm and personalized service.
