The German shipbuilding company Meyer Werft officially delivered Carnival Jubilee - the newest vessel (fleet's 26th) of CCL-Carnival Cruise Line.
The 183,200 GT-ton ship has LOA length 345 m (1133 ft), width 42 m (138 ft), passenger capacity 5374 (2626 staterooms), alongside a crew capacity of 1735.
Spanning 18 passenger decks, Carnival Jubilee is equipped with a diverse array of entertainment facilities and numerous dining options. The upper deck boasts the "Ultimate Playground" - a modern waterpark with expansive slides and the innovative "BOLT" roller coaster.
Being the first CCL ship constructed in Papenburg Germany, Carnival Jubilee was initially commissioned for AIDA Cruises within the Carnival Corporation portfolio.
In a unique move in 2021, the newbuild was reassigned to CCL, representing the first instance of a ship design transitioning from Meyer Turku Finland, to sister yard Meyer Werft, both integral parts of the Meyer Group.
Similar to its Excel Class sisterships Mardi Gras and Celebration (delivered from Meyer Turku in 2020 and 2022 respectively), Jubilee incorporates a low-emission lLNG/iquefied natural gas propulsion system.
Boasting 61.8 MW of total engine power and 37 MW of propulsion power, the liner underwent extensive technical and nautical sea trials and various tests in recent weeks, coupled with ongoing onboard work for finalization.
Scheduled to commence its maiden voyage from Galveston Texas USA, the Carnival Jubilee is set to embark on her inaugural journey on December 23.
