Sea Cloud Cruises has unveiled its 2024 brochure titled "Authentic Sailing Journeys," offering a comprehensive overview of the experience on board the tall ships during 4- to 16-day voyages. The 95-page brochure showcases itineraries that navigate less-traveled routes and visit boutique ports.
The 2024 collection features 80 voyages for the 90-year-old 4-mast Sea Cloud and her sisterships, Sea Cloud II and Sea Cloud Spirit. These journeys encompass 160+ days under full sail. Notable "Special Occasion" voyages include the St. Barths Bucket Regatta, the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, and America's Cup. Some sailings will be hosted by Michelin-starred chefs, offering bespoke musical experiences or featuring renowned lecturers on board. The Sea Cloud Cruises fleet is set to welcome the New Year in Cartagena, Bequia, and Virgin Gorda.
Sea Cloud Spirit embarks on immersive voyages through Central America, exploring Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Honduras, and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. After venturing to Florida and the Bahamas in March, the ship will commence its spring season with the Canaries, followed by Morocco and Spain. The summer includes unique Atlantic Coast and Northern Europe itineraries, with stops in Lisbon, Bilbao (including a VIP evening tour of the Guggenheim), Bordeaux, England, Ireland, and Norway, before sailing the Azores and returning to the Caribbean.
Sea Cloud II sails the Caribbean from January through April, homeporting in St Maarten and Barbados. Ports of call include Martinique, Isles de Santes, and Santo Domingo. The European season begins from Lisbon to Barcelona in April, featuring VIP access to the Monaco Historic Grand Prix for guests on the May 8 sailing. The ship then explores Capri, Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, Greece, and the French and Italian Rivieras during its summer 2024 season. A 17-day full sail crossing from the Canary Islands to Guadeloupe marks the conclusion of the European season and the beginning of its Caribbean season.
Sea Cloud will sail the Caribbean, homeporting in St. Maarten and Barbados during much of the winter season, calling on intimate ports like Anguilla, Nevis, Mayreau, and Bequia. Guests retracing the footsteps of the original Sea Cloud owner, Marjorie Merriweather Post, will witness the St. Barths Bucket Regatta. Sea Cloud II will replicate this "Special Occasion" sailing, offering a unique experience as the two tall ships sail side-by-side. The Caribbean season concludes with a second rendezvous alongside Sea Cloud II, sailing through the British Virgin Islands, Lesser Antilles, and returning to St. Maarten.
Limited availability remains for Sea Cloud's Aegean and lesser-visited Greek Isles of the Cyclades and Dodecanese. Following this itinerary is a voyage from Athens (Piraeus) to Venice. The ship will cruise the coast of Croatia, circumnavigate Sicily, explore the Mediterranean islands of Corsica and Sardinia, before heading to the Canary Islands for the Atlantic crossing.
