RCI-Royal Caribbean International has unveiled a preview of its newest addition to the successful Icon Class, the Star of the Seas, offering diverse vacation options for families and adventurers alike.
Commencing in August 2025, the homeported in Port Canaveral/Orlando Florida liner will offer 7-night Caribbean roundtrips. The inaugural itineraries for Star OTS are now available for booking. All voyages visit RCI's private Bahamian island CocoCay.
Explorers can experience island-hopping in style across the eastern or western Caribbean and The Bahamas. The newly introduced itineraries include picturesque destinations such as Basseterre St Kitts, Cozumel Mexico, Philipsburg St Maarten, Roatan Honduras, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Additionally, every getaway promises the opportunity to relax or engage in various activities at Perfect Day at CocoCay. The cruise line's exclusive private island boasts 13 waterslides, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and The Bahamas, and the upcoming adults-only oasis, Hideaway Beach (scheduled to open in January 2024), featuring a private beach, pools, dining areas, exclusive cabanas, live music, and more.
The Star's Icon Class features include thrilling attractions such as the Category 6 waterpark with 6 record-breaking waterslides, Crown's Edge – a combination of skywalk, ropes course, and thrill ride – and 7 pools catering to different moods, including the swim-up bar Swim & Tonic, the adults-only retreat Cloud 17, and The Hideaway's unique infinity pool suspended 135 feet (41 meters) above the ocean. While families can enjoy quality time together and pursue individual adventures throughout the Star, Surfside provides a dedicated neighborhood for young families with splash zones for all ages, specialized restaurants, and The Lemon Post bar offering menus for both adults and children.
Additional new experiences for the latest addition to the world's premier family vacation lineup will be disclosed at a later date.
