NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has officially announced the arrival of its second Prima Class vessel Norwegian Viva at homeport San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The newbuild ship is scheduled for a Caribbean maiden season until April 2024.
Following a recent christening ceremony in Miami Florida, NCL's Viva ship commenced an inaugural Caribbean season based on 7-day roundtrips.
Operated from now until March 2024, Norwegian Viva's 7-day itinerary has the following scheduled call ports - Road Town (Tortola BVI/British Virgin Islands), St John’s (Antigua), Bridgetown (Barbados), Castries (St Lucia), Philipsburg (St Maarten) and Charlotte Amalie (St Thomas USVI/US Virgin Islands).
A notable feature of this itinerary is the absence of sea days, ensuring travelers can maximize their time in these breathtaking destinations.
David J. Herrera (NCL's President) expressed excitement about the ship's arrival in Puerto Rico, stating:
“We are excited to bring Norwegian Viva to Puerto Rico and offer our guests the opportunity to explore this remarkable island, which serves as a perfect centrally located homeport that allows us to take them to some of the most beautiful and culturally rich destinations in the Caribbean.”
Herrera highlighted that the arrival of Norwegian Viva to San Juan marks another milestone in their commitment to delivering top-notch cruise experiences with port-intensive itineraries, providing guests with optimal value for their vacation.
In April 2024, Norwegian Viva is scheduled to return to Europe for a second season, offering various Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, providing passengers with the chance to immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of Europe.
