On CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's ship Carnival Jubilee, Santa Claus took a break from his sleigh to assist in the debut of the first newbuild cruiser in Galveston Texas USA.
The 26th Fun Ship in the CCL fleet, Carnival Jubilee is adorned with a Texas Star on the bow. The vessel received a grand water salute upon docking at Galveston's Cruise Terminal 25.
The introduction of Carnival Jubilee marks a pivotal moment in Carnival's expansion strategy for Galveston, a homeport that has become one of Carnival's top destinations over the past two decades. Carnival Jubilee, featuring innovative entertainment and dining options, signals a significant capacity increase for the port.
Joining the fleetmates Carnival Breeze and Carnival Dream, Jubilee is part of a 4-ship deployment plan that will be finalized with the arrival of Carnival Miracle in fall 2024.
Carnival Jubilee features the first roller coaster at sea and is LNG-powered (by Liquefied Natural Gas). Port enhancements were made to accommodate LNG, and CCL's commitment to homeport the new liner in Texas resulted in a US$53 million investment in terminal improvements.
Served by 1750 staff/crew members, the 18-deck Carnival Jubilee is poised to welcome 6000+ tourists for the maiden voyage leaving on Dec 23rd.The 7-day Western Caribbean itinerary visits Honduras' Roatan Island and Mexico's Costa Maya and Cozumel.
