DCL-Disney Cruise Line has made notable changes to the terms and conditions of its Castaway Club membership, effective immediately.
Previously, guests automatically qualified for Castaway Club membership after completing one eligible Disney cruise. However, to maintain membership, Castaway Club Members must now book or sail on at least one eligible cruise within five years of their last Disney voyage.
Key updates to DCL's terms and conditions include:
Program Duration:
- The Program will continue at the sole discretion of DCL until the company decides to terminate it (the 'Program Term').
- Members can only enjoy Program Benefits during the Program Term, and methods for obtaining benefits are determined by DCL.
Redemption Term:
- Program Benefits can only be used during the 'Redemption Term,' defined as the Program Term and a 60-day period immediately following the last day of the Program Term.
Automatic Termination:
- Membership will automatically terminate without notice if a Member does not book or complete an eligible DCL cruise within the 'Activity Period.'
- The Activity Period spans 5 years after the debarkation day of the Member's last eligible DCL Cruise.
- DCL, at its sole discretion, may extend the Activity Period or continue providing Program Benefits to a Member who does not meet the initial Activity Period deadline.
These changes provide clearer guidelines for Castaway Club members, emphasizing the importance of booking or completing eligible cruises within specified time frames to enjoy ongoing program benefits.
