Commencing her trial operation, China's first domestically-built large cruise vessel - Adora Magic City, embarked from homeport Shanghai (Wusongkou Terminal) on Sunday, December 24th.
Hosting invited guests and ~1,300 crew members from various parts of the globe, the ship initiated her trial journey and is scheduled to return to the terminal on Monday, December 25.
Following this trial run, the vessel will undergo additional testing in preparation for her commercial maiden voyage to Northeast Asia, set to commence on January 1, 2024.
Constructed by the shipbuilder CSSC Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd, Adora Magic City boasts dimensions of 324 meters (1062 ft) in length, a volume of 135,500 GT-tons, and a capacity to accommodate up to 5246 passengers in 2125 staterooms.
The ship, standing at 16 floors, encompasses a vast expanse of 40,000 m2 (430,556 ft2), dedicated to public living and recreational spaces.
