CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is set to usher in 2024 with festive celebrations, as Josh Weinstein, President & CEO and Chief Climate Officer of Carnival Corporation & plc, takes center stage to illuminate the renowned New Year’s Eve Ball in Times Square, New York. Carnival's 26 ships will also join the revelry, hosting onboard celebrations at sea.
Continuing their role as the official cruise line sponsor for Times Square New Year’s Eve for the third consecutive year, Carnival extends its influence as a musical sponsor for "Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024" on ABC, broadcasting live from 8:00 p.m. EST on December 31.
Weinstein, overseeing the preparations, tested the giant switch today that will illuminate the iconic New Year’s Eve Ball, joining the official lighting ceremony on Sunday night. Simultaneously, amid the celebrations, Carnival’s vibrant "No One Does Fun Like Carnival" campaign will grace some of Times Square’s iconic LED billboards, setting the tone for a joyful 2024.
At sea, guests aboard Carnival’s 26 ships, including the recently launched Carnival Jubilee from Galveston, Texas, will partake in unique celebrations to welcome the new year. This event marks a pivotal moment in Carnival's significant growth period, having added five ships to the fleet since 2021. Anticipating further expansion, Carnival is set to welcome Carnival Firenze in 2024, with sailings from Long Beach, California, to Mexico in the spring.
