The Caribbean welcomes the latest addition to Celebrity Cruises' fleet, as Celebrity Ascent, the 4th vessel in the EDGE series, officially makes her debut in the region.
Operating out of Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades cruise port, Celebrity Ascent has regularly scheduled roundtrips to popular Eastern and Western Caribbean island destinations.
The ship's itinerary includes stops at various ports of call across the Western and Eastern Caribbean, featuring destinations such as St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Puerto Plata Dominicana, St. Kitts, Tortola, San Juan, Nassau, George Town Grand Cayman, and Cozumel Island.
Departing every Sunday from Port Everglades throughout the high season, Celebrity Ascent is a key player in Celebrity's most extensive Caribbean season to date. Joining the sisterships Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond, the Caribbean fleet will see the addition of two more ships in April: Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Beyond.
Katina Athanasiou, Senior VP Of Sales and Service for The Americas at Celebrity said that as cooler weather set in across the country, that was the time of year they started to think about "trading the inevitable winter blues for gorgeous Caribbean blues."
