RCI-Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas is shattering records in anticipation of her inaugural voyage later this month.

Scheduled to embark on January 27, the vessel has already made waves as the world's largest cruise vessel. Further enhancing her historic journey, the ship made first-ever appearance in Miami on Wednesday, January 10, ahead of her maiden voyage.

Port Miami Florida welcomed the colossal ship with banner planes and fireboat salutes, creating a grand spectacle celebrated by locals, devoted cruise enthusiasts, and excited employees eager to witness the monumental vessel firsthand.

Beyond claiming the title of the world's largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas offers an array of unparalleled features. Housing the world's largest waterpark at sea, the ship boasts a three-story accommodation known as "The Ultimate Townhouse." Described as a sprawling adventure-filled pad, it includes an in-suite slide, a karaoke station, and various hidden treasures.

The ship introduces over "40 ways to dine, drink, and be entertained," featuring eight distinct "neighborhoods" spread across its 20 decks. Thrill-seekers can elevate their experience at 154 feet above the ocean with the Crown's Edge ropes course.

Icon of the Seas invites vacationers on a seven-night journey through the Eastern or Western Caribbean, departing from Miami and making a stop at Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at Coco Cay in the Bahamas.

A notable addition to this cruise experience is the debut of the island's first-ever adults-only retreat, Hideaway Beach. This exclusive spot offers an all-day experience with a private beach, pools, dedicated areas for drinks and bites, exclusive cabanas, live music, and more.

After completion at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, Icon of the Seas underwent her first phase of sea trials in June 2023. Notably, she has officially surpassed Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas as the largest cruise ship in the world.
