TUI Cruises (a joint venture between RCG/Royal Caribbean Group and TUI AG) has unveiled plans for the construction of three new vessels in the coming years, marking a significant expansion for the Hamburg-based cruise company amidst the growing demand for sea travel vacations.
The imminent addition to the fleet is Mein Schiff 7, set to join this year, with specific details about the naming ceremony yet to be disclosed. To be inaugurated in June 2024, Schiff 7 follows in the footsteps of the sisterships Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2.
Adding to the excitement, March 2025 will witness the launch of Mein Schiff Relax, TUI's first vessel of the new InTUItion class. Distinct from any other ship in the fleet, Schiff Relax is poised to deliver a unique cruise experience.
Looking ahead, TUI has outlined plans for a second InTUItion class unit (TBN/Schiff 9), with production slated for 2026 at Fincantieri'i shipyard in Monfalcone Italy. The recent announcement of the commencement of production for this sistership signals the continuation of TUI's ambitious expansion strategy.
