The cruise ship Carnival Sunrise is presently traversing the Atlantic Ocean en route to the drydock at Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain. Constructed in 1999, the vessel has been inactive since February 1 and is anticipated to reach the dry dock by February 10th.

The routine maintenance and refurbishment project is slated to span two weeks.

Carnival Sunrise is the third vessel in Carnival Cruise Line/CCL's 27-ship fleet to undergo drydock maintenance at Navantia Cadiz this year.

Both the Carnival Vista and the forthcoming Carnival Firenze are currently undergoing work at the shipyard. Carnival Vista has completed its scheduled shipyard maintenance and is poised to set sail for the Caribbean imminently. Carnival Firenze, slated to be the sole new addition to the fleet in 2024, is transitioning from Costa Crociere to Carnival Cruise Line. Her dry dock stint will span 42 days and entail significant external and internal modifications.

Following the conclusion of Carnival Vista's drydocking, Carnival Sunrise now occupies the facility in Cadiz, where Carnival Firenze is set to undergo hull painting.

CCL regularly schedules the 25-year-old Carnival Sunrise for drydock maintenance, with the most recent maintenance occurring in 2022. In spring 2019, the cruise ship underwent an extensive renovation, during which she was rechristened from Carnival Triumph to Carnival Sunrise, following a US$200 million investment.

Carnival Sunrise's upcoming voyage is scheduled to depart from PortMiami on March 5, 2024. The liner is homeported in Miami and operates 4- and 5-day roundtrips to The Bahamas, the Eastern Caribbean, and the Western Caribbean.

Accommodating ~3000 guests, Carnival Sunrise offers a spacious and comfortable maritime experience.
