In a strategic shift from her traditional relocation voyages, Virgin Voyages' vessel Resilient Lady is set to embark on a circumnavigation of the African coastline, departing from Sydney NSW on March 27th.
This newly charted route will include stops at Eden and Fremantle/Perth in Australia, Port Louis (Mauritius), Durban and Cape Town (South Africa), Walvis Bay (Namibia), Praia (Cape Verde), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canaries Spain), Casablanca (Morocco), Barcelona (Spain), Valletta (Malta), as well as Santorini and Piraeus/Athens in Greece, offering passengers an extended duration at sea to savor the maritime experience.
The original route was through the Suez Canal. Nest are listed the voyage's legs.
- (2024 Mar 27) 15 days from Sydney to Singapore
- (2024 Apr 11) 14 days from Singapore to Dubai
- (2024 Apr 25) 14 days from Dubai to Piraeus-Athens
Passengers who were initially booked on the three legs of the ship's relocation itinerary (RepositionCruises.com) will be automatically accommodated on these newly arranged itineraries at no additional cost, with a price protection assurance in place. For those unable to commit to the revised dates, the option of a Future Voyage Credit based on their paid balance or a full refund will be made available.
“We know that based on our conversations with passengers and travel partners, they understand the complex geopolitical challenges that have arisen making this change necessary. In addition to this, we are committed to remaining a good partner to our First Mates (travel advisors) and will be protecting their commissions”, says Virgin Voyages.
