The river ship Lord Byron operated by Riviera Travel is undergoing refurbishment in preparation for the upcoming European summer cruise season.
Renovation work includes the refurbishment of all 74 cabins aboard the 140-passenger vessel, along with updates to the decor and design of the onboard restaurant. New furniture and carpets are being installed as part of the refurbishment process, which is taking place at a shipyard in Chalon, France.
Lord Byron, constructed in 2013, is scheduled to operate cruises on the Rhone river starting in April.
Will Sarson, Head of Product at Riviera, commented that those enhancements to their esteemed ship Lord Byron would elevate the overall guest experience.
"From fresh touches in the cabins to new decor in the restaurant and public spaces, we are looking forward to providing a warm and appealing environment for all guests who sail with us."
This announcement comes as Riviera Travel unveils plans to expand its river cruise ship fleet to seven vessels, with the introduction of Riviera Rose and Riviera Radiance in 2025.
