Ambassador Cruise Line has extended its partnership with ORCA, a marine conservation charity, for a third year, scheduling 23 dedicated itineraries for the 2024-2025 season.
Building on the success of the previous year with 8062 marine life sightings recorded, Ambassador's ships Ambience and Ambition will host Ocean Conservationists on board for 12 and 11 sailings respectively.
These cruises, totaling 585 days at sea, mark the highest number of dedicated ORCA sailings since the partnership began.
Each sailing will include a minimum of two Ocean Conservationists onboard to collect scientific data aimed at protecting sea life, including whales, dolphins, and porpoises, while educating travelers about ocean conservation through an interactive education program.
The itineraries will visit ports significant to ORCA's research, contributing to the monitoring of sea life populations and aiding in the protection of marine animals. Guests can explore diverse destinations such as the Iberian coast, British Isles, Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Morocco, Azores, Madeira, and North Africa, offering opportunities to learn about marine life and conservation efforts.
Additionally, the ORCA Ocean Watchers app and other educational materials will be available onboard, allowing guests to engage in conservation activities and learn about ORCA's initiatives to protect sea life worldwide.
