The UK-based Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has resumed operations in the North Sea, presenting an array of destinations as the 2024 season commences.
The inaugural departure for the season from the Port of Tyne/Newcastle England took place on Friday, March 1st, with the smaller vessel, MS Balmoral, embarking on a 9-night 'In Search of the Northern Lights' cruise.
In line with Fred Olsen's cruise schedule 2024, voyages departing from the North East encompass diverse locales such as the Canary Islands, Portugal, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean islands.
Scheduled upcoming cruises from the North East in 2024 include:
- Balmoral’s 9-night ‘Natural Wonders of Iceland’ cruise, setting sail on April 17. Prices commence from GBP1,299 per person.
- Balmoral’s 5-night ‘Springtime Norwegian Fjords in Five Nights’ cruise, departing on May 3. Prices begin from GBP749 per person.
- Balmoral’s 14-night ‘Rugged and Remote Spitsbergen with the Midnight Sund’ cruise, commences on June 12. Prices start from GBP2,099 per person.
- Balmoral’s 19-night ‘Exploring the Islands of the Mediterranean’ cruise, embarking on September 14. Prices commence from GBP2,699 per person.
