Beginning in spring 2024, Costa's Mediterranean and Northern European cruises will introduce new destinations to be enjoyed from the distinct vantage point of the sea.
Costa unveils an exciting addition to enhance its cruises in 2024: the 'Sea Destinations'.
Commencing next spring, the Italian cruise line's itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe will be further enriched with fresh destinations, experienced while aboard the ship during navigation. This introduces a voyage within a voyage, where the sea becomes more than just a means to reach ports of call; it becomes a privileged perspective for experiencing evocative moments that reflect iconic places along the ship's route.
In addition to traditional onshore destinations such as Barcelona, Naples, Genoa, Istanbul, and Mykonos, Costa's itineraries will now feature new destinations between sky and sea.
For instance, in the Western Mediterranean, following a visit to Ibiza, guests can enjoy a hippy chic party in the bay of Formentera, soaking in the atmosphere of the sunset from the ship. Or, prior to disembarking in Naples, guests can savor a typical Caprese breakfast while admiring the stunning panorama of Capri's Faraglioni rocks illuminated by the morning light.
While crossing the Eastern Mediterranean's deepest point, guests will witness a spectacle of sea depths. Crossing through the Dardanelles strait, guests will be transported back in time, enraptured by the mystical dance of the rotating veils of the Dervishes. Following an onshore visit to Venice's "calli," guests will indulge in a "Dolce Vita" aperitif onboard, overlooking the Lido and captivated by the sunset over the lagoon, accompanied by Italian film posters and a Film Festival soundtrack.
Sea Destinations will also enhance Northern European cruises, including Norway's stunning fjords. After a warm welcome from local farmers in Geiranger, guests will cruise through the entire fjord, listening to Nordic stories and legends while witnessing the spectacle of the Seven Sisters waterfall from the bow of the ship, surrounded by rugged cliffs and lush mountains.
