Celestyal Cruises is set to embark on voyages to Egypt aboard its latest vessel - Celestyal Journey, which will assume the routes previously scheduled for Celestyal Crystal upon her debut in September 2024.
Formerly known as Ryndam under Holland America Line, Celestyal Journey was acquired by Seajets in 2020 before joining the Greek cruise line Celestyal in 2022.
This addition to the fleet allows Celestyal to offer a more upscale experience compared to its older, smaller ships, while remaining sufficiently compact to access the cozier cruise ports for which Celestyal is renowned.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, Celestyal Journey will embark on a special 19-night festive cruise, making stops in various ports including Thessaloniki, Volos, Rhodes, and Crete (Greece), as well as Izmir, Kusadasi, Antalya, Istanbul (Turkey), Limassol (Cyprus), Alexandria (Egypt), and Haifa (Israel).
During this voyage, passengers will have the unique opportunity to spend both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Israel, allowing them to explore some of the most sacred sites in Christianity during the holiday season. Alternatively, the journey can be divided into 8- or 9-night itineraries.
With a capacity to accommodate up to 1260 guests across 630 staterooms, Celestyal's Journey ship features 149 cabins with balconies, along with 120 Junior Suites and 28 Grand Suites.
Onboard amenities include a variety of dining venues offering specialty and themed restaurants showcasing Mediterranean, European, and Asian cuisines, complete with a cooking demonstration area and an exclusive Chef’s Table venue. Additionally, the ship boasts 8 bars and lounges for guests to enjoy.
