Windstar Cruises, renowned for its small ship cruising in French Polynesia, has announced a new partnership with Pacific Beachcomber, a luxury operator overseeing 7 hotels in the region, including InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), Maitai Hotels, and The Brando.
A significant aspect of this collaboration is the introduction of 2-night stay packages at The Brando, Pacific Beachcomber's exclusive private island eco-resort. Nestled on an atoll, The Brando boasts only 35 private villas, each situated on pristine white-sand beaches overlooking a vast lagoon spanning 5 miles. The resort, frequented by celebrities, pays homage to the late Marlon Brando, who acquired the atoll in the 1960s. Guests at The Brando indulge in activities such as snorkeling, bird watching, cultural and archaeological expeditions, and enjoy amenities like the acclaimed Varua Te Ora Polynesian Spa.
Commencing from May 1, 2024, as a post-cruise extension, this package is exclusively available to guests staying in Star Breeze's top suites, including the award-winning Broadmoor and Sea Island Suites, as well as Owner's Suites. The experience encompasses daily excursions, spa treatments, beach equipment, and more. Additionally, transfers via plane to and from The Brando, a 20-minute flight from Papeete (where guests disembark from the cruise), are included. Pricing for the package starts from US$6,900 per person based on double occupancy.
Windstar has forged an exclusive partnership with Pacific Beachcomber's InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa in Papeete since February, offering convenient pre- and post-cruise stays on the island of Tahiti. Moreover, the resort has been integrated into Windstar's popular Air + Hotel packages originating from both Los Angeles and Seattle.
In Bora Bora, guests can also partake in one-night overwater bungalow stays at Pacific Beachcomber's Intercontinental Bora Bora Le Moana. This option serves as an additional excursion for guests to reserve mid-cruise when spending the night on the island. Upon disembarking from the ship, guests are transported to a romantic overwater bungalow, fulfilling a quintessential Tahitian experience for many travelers.
