Last weekend marked the inaugural voyages of A-ROSA Cruises' newest fleet members - A-ROSA ALEA (fka Avalon Affinity) and A-ROSA CLEA (fka Avalon Creativity).
Teh ALEA boat left from Cologne Germany on April 5th for an inaugural Southern Rhine voyage. The itinerary visited Basel, Strasbourg, Mainz, and Koblenz.
On April 7th, the sistership CLEA started a 7-night itinerary visiting Willemstad, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Hoorn, and Emmerich.
Throughout the 2024 season, these two 110-meter-long boats will traverse popular Rhine routes, offering a range of cruises lasting from 4 to 7 nights. Their itineraries span from Cologne to major cities in the Netherlands and Belgium, to historic sites along the Middle Rhine Valley and the Moselle, and to cities in the tripoint region of Germany, France, and Switzerland. As Christmas approaches, the schedule includes highly sought-after Christmas Market Cruises, featuring stops in Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Mainz, and Rudesheim. To ring in the New Year, passengers will enjoy a special cruise along the Southern Rhine to Basel, marking the first time A-ROSA guests will celebrate the turn of the year there.
Onboard, guests can expect the renowned AROSA service and Full Board Plus amenities, with options to select breakfast and lunch from the buffet. For dinner, a variety of main courses, along with starter and dessert buffets, await guests at their tables. In the Panorama Lounge situated at the bow of both ships, passengers can savor delectable creations from the A-ROSA Bar Menu while taking in breathtaking views of the passing scenery.
Following her debut season, in 2025 ALEA will be redeployed to the Seine River and homeported in Paris to explore Normandy and Le Havre.
Meanwhile, the fleetmate A-ROSA VIVA, currently operating in France, will return to her original Rhine/Main/Moselle itineraries.
In the subsequent year, A-ROSA CLEA will embark on diverse cruises from Frankfurt along the Main, Moselle, and Middle Rhine Valley before venturing into a new cruise region in Bordeaux, navigating the Gironde/Garonne, starting from 2026.
