During her voyage from Tampa, Florida USA to Isla Roatan/Honduras on Sunday afternoon, April 21st, CCL's ship Carnival Paradise engaged in a rescue operation.
The vessel's bridge team observed a small craft carrying 27 Cuban nationals signaling for assistance, prompting them to alter course to aid them.
Upon reaching the distressed individuals, the crew of the Carnival Paradise facilitated their rescue, providing them with food and medical attention under the care of the ship's medical team.
Authorities, including the USCG/Coast Guard Sector Key West and officials in Roatan, were notified of the rescue.
Carnival Paradise, partaking in a 5-day Western Caribbean voyage, was scheduled to arrive in Honduras on Monday. The itinerary visits Mahogany Bay/Roatan Island and Cozumel Mexico, before returning back to Port Tampa Bay.
