On Monday, May 13, the coastal cruise ship Havila Pollux will be officially named at Bryggen in Bergen (Norway), with former Prime Minister Erna Solberg serving as the ship's godmother.
Havila Pollux commenced operations along the Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen coastal route in August 2023 and will now have its formal naming ceremony. Havila Voyages has secured a berth at Bryggen in Bergen for the event on May 13th.
Erna Solberg, a Bergen native and former Prime Minister (2013-2021) has been selected as the ship's godmother.
Havila Pollux will arrive at Bryggen on Sunday, May 12, offering an open ship event for visitors to tour and experience the onboard dining concept. The official naming ceremony will take place on Monday, May 13, at Bryggen (Bergen).
Schedule for the day:
- 11:00 Naming ceremony at Bryggen in Bergen
- 11:30 Onboard tour (meeting at Havblikk on deck 9)
- 12:30 Lunch for ceremony guests in Havrand Restaurant
Following the naming ceremony, Havila Pollux will sail out to Byfjorden (outside Bergen) and then dock at Jekteviksterminalen to prepare for departure on the coastal route later the same evening.
