On May 16th, CCL-Carnival Cruise Line achieved a significant milestone in Galveston, Texas, becoming the first cruise operator to embark 10 million guests from the port.

Marsha Taulton of Houston, the 10 millionth Carnival guest, was recognized aboard Carnival Breeze. Taulton and her husband, Paul, were greeted by Captain Isidoro Renda and Galveston Wharves Port Director and CEO Rodger Rees, who, along with the ship's team, led an impromptu celebration to mark the occasion.

This milestone follows the expansion of CCL's services in Galveston, which included the introduction of the new flagship Carnival Jubilee - the first new ship to be christened in the port. The expansion will continue in October with the deployment of Carnival Miracle, completing a 4-ship strategy. By the end of 2024, CCL's passenger capacity in Galveston is expected to increase by 20%, to 800,000+.

CCL launched the first year-round cruise program from Galveston in 2000 and remains the leading operator sailing year-round from the port.

CCL offers a variety of itineraries from Galveston, with numerous options available through the spring of 2026, visiting popular destinations in the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
