Princess Cruises has been named the exclusive cruise line partner for the Academy of Country Music (ACM). This collaboration was inaugurated on May 16th at the 59th ACM Awards Show (Ford Center at The Star, Frisco, Texas USA) hosted by Reba McEntire.
Princess Cruises celebrated the event by interviewing artists and nominees live from the Princess Stage at the ACM Awards red carpet.
As part of this partnership, Princess will be the sponsor for the "ACM Live from the Red Barrel Lounge" series, held at the Academy's Headquarters in Nashville TN this summer.
This series will feature exclusive performances introducing new and emerging country artists. Select future Princess voyages will include special performances by some of the talented artists from the Red Barrel Lounge. Additionally, Princess Cruises will support the ACM Honors in August, celebrating special award honorees, off-camera category winners, and the ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards.
The Academy of Country Music (1964-founded in Los Angeles) is the longest-running Country Music awards show.
In 2022, the ACM made history as the first major award ceremony to exclusively livestream on Amazon Prime. Initially a regional Southern California trade organization, the ACM has grown into a national entity focused on improving lives by connecting fans, artists, and the industry. The ACM promotes new and established artists while supporting charitable causes through ACM Lifting Lives.
Since its first cruise from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera in 1965, Princess has become a global cruise brand, known for its role in the "Love Boat" television series.
