China's first domestically constructed large cruise ship - Adora Magic City, has successfully completed 37 voyages and served 150,000+ tourists as of Friday (June 8th), as reported by Adora Cruises.
The vessel commenced her inaugural journey at the beginning of the year and has since garnered significant popularity among travelers.
Leading up to the Dragon Boat Festival this year, the ship welcomed ~4,000 passengers shortly after arriving at the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal on Friday.
Adora Magic City, measuring 323.6 meters (1062 ft) in length with a gross tonnage of 135,500 tonnes, is capable of accommodating up to 5,246 passengers across 2,125 guest rooms.
The cruise industry, characterized by its extensive industrial chain and high degree of international integration, is often referred to as "the golden industry that floats." The construction of Adora Magic City involved 1000+ domestic and international manufacturers.
In parallel, China's second domestically built large cruiser entered a shipyard in Shanghai for final assembly on April 20, underscoring China's advancing capability to produce cruise ships at scale.
