Seabourn Pursuit, the latest ultra-luxury expedition vessel of Seabourn, made its debut in Australia by sailing into Darwin NT on the morning of Tuesday, June 11th.
This marks the commencement of Seabourn’s highly anticipated inaugural season in the Kimberley region, starting June 12 with six 10-day voyages between Darwin and Broome WA scheduled from June to August 2024.
Western Australia's Kimberley Coast is celebrated as one of the world’s most remote destinations, famed for its surreal landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich Aboriginal culture. Exploring the Kimberley aboard Seabourn Pursuit grants travelers access to remote sites like Ngula Jar Island, offering panoramic vistas as the 132-suite ship navigates through towering cliffs and gorges. Guided by a world-class expedition team, passengers will partake in immersive experiences that honor the region's cultural heritage.
Seabourn recently named the Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owners as godparents of Seabourn Pursuit, a historic first in the cruise industry. This appointment includes a charitable donation aimed at supporting the Wunambal Gaambera in fostering a sustainable arts and crafts industry, showcasing authentic works by local artists.
Additionally, Seabourn will supply the Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation with pearl shells and art supplies to support year-round arts and crafts initiatives.
Guests embarking on the Kimberley journey with Seabourn will encounter an exhilarating expedition experience, forging deeper connections with the region's wildlife, nature, culture, and history, all while enjoying the renowned ultra-luxury amenities for which Seabourn is known.
