Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of MSC Group, has announced the successful completion of sea trials for EXPLORA II.

This vessel is the second in a planned fleet of 6 luxury ships being constructed for Explora Journeys by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.

The final construction phase of the 63,900 GT-ton EXPLORA II took place at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Sestri Ponente (near Genoa). This summer, EXPLORA II will offer itineraries to some of the Western Mediterranean’s most captivating and less-visited destinations, ensuring guests experience the cultural richness of these locales.

The itineraries will include distinctive ports such as Portofino, Porto Cervo, Saint-Tropez, Calvi, Mahon, and Monte Carlo. With overnights and extended stays at these destinations, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in experiences, creating lasting memories. Journeys start at 7 nights and can extend to 14 or 21 nights, with departures from convenient homeports like Barcelona or Civitavecchia-Rome, designed to avoid repetition of ports during combinable journeys.

Explora Journeys caters to the discerning luxury traveler, offering a transformative and purposeful ocean travel experience that captures the essence of each destination. On every journey, guests can enjoy elegant suites with private ocean-front terraces, 9 inclusive culinary experiences, unlimited premium beverages, high-speed Wi-Fi via Starlink connectivity, vibrant entertainment, and ocean-inspired wellness programs.
