Hwajing Travel, the exclusive charterer for Costa Cruises in Malaysia, is set to welcome the return of the Italian cruise liner Costa Serena to Port Klang for the December 2024 holiday season.
The agency has announced three itineraries departing from Port Klang: a 4-day, 3-night trip to Phuket; a 3-day, 2-night to Penang; and a 6-day, 5-night to Vietnam (Phu May/Saigon) and Hong Kong.
Kenny Cheong, managing director of Hwajing Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd, expressed excitement about the return of the Costa Serena to Port Klang following a successful inaugural season in March. He highlighted the agency's role in enhancing cruise tourism in Malaysia and supporting local businesses in the Port Klang area, while providing Malaysian and regional travelers with an affordable, convenient, and relaxing travel option.
Throughout December, multiple sailings to Phuket and Penang will be available, with the final departure on December 15, 2024, heading from Port Klang to Phu My and Hong Kong. The Costa Serena offers various dining options, including Italian and Asian cuisines, as well as entertainment features such as a Venice Carnival Party and a Water Chute Slide.
