Costa Cruises introduces a new feature designed to make Mediterranean Sea voyages more memorable for families, offering unique experiences tailored for younger guests and their families both onshore and onboard.

These exclusive shore excursions are available in prime Western Mediterranean destinations, including Savona, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo, Cagliari, Barcelona, Valencia, and Marseille. The experiences create a seamless “ship-shore” connection with pre- and post-excursion activities curated by Costa’s “Squok Club” and “Teens Club” animators.

The program features two main options: one for children aged 3 to 13 accompanied by family members, and another for teenagers aged 14 to 17. Both options include the presence of animators, ensuring that parents can relax while their children enjoy engaging and safe activities.

For the youngest travelers, excursions include exploring Palermo's markets and participating in a cooking class, discovering Marseille’s traditional games and products, or visiting the Genoa Observatory via the historic Righi funicular railway.

For teenagers, the program offers adventurous activities such as street art tours in Marseille, surfing and paddle-boarding in Cagliari, exploring Instagrammable spots in Naples, trekking near Savona, and sailing in Palermo on the ‘Lisca Bianca’.

Onboard, themed entertainment continues the adventure, with cooking classes, creative workshops, dances, and sports activities. On the ships Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda, one cruise day is entirely dedicated to families, culminating in an evening show at the Colosseo, guided by mascot Squok.

All Costa ships feature clubs for minors, open daily from 9:00 a.m. to midnight, with age-specific indoor and outdoor areas. Membership is free and included in the cruise price. The Squok Club caters to younger children, while teenagers enjoy the Teens Club.
