AmaWaterways has launched its 2026 cruise season ahead of schedule due to robust demand observed for its 2024 and 2025 seasons. Reservations are now open for a wide array of itineraries across Europe, Egypt, Asia, Colombia, Africa for safaris and wildlife cruises, alongside comprehensive pre- and post-cruise land packages.
The company is introducing 7 new riverboats in various regions between 2024 and 2025, followed by an additional two ships in 2026.
The new AmaSofia will commence its maiden voyage on May 24, 2026, navigating the Danube River with the 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest.
Simultaneously, the new AmaMaya will join AmaDara on the Mekong River, operating the 7-night Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong itineraries. The itineraries offer opportunities to combine with land packages featuring Angkor Wat near Siem Reap in Cambodia, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand.
In addition, AmaWaterways is enhancing its offerings with new land packages for the 7-night Taste of Bordeaux voyages in 2026, incorporating visits to Madrid and San Sebastian, along with Paris.
New land tours have been curated for Rhine and Moselle cruises in 2026, including stops at Utrecht for Captivating Rhine, Enchanting Rhine, and Christmas Markets on the Rhine itineraries. During Christmas season sailings, guests can opt for excursions such as a walking tour of Baden-Baden or a visit to Strasbourg’s historic Christmas market, established in 1570.
On the 7-night Vineyard of the Rhine & Moselle itinerary, guests will have the opportunity to explore Wiesbaden. Prices for the 2026 program start at GBP 2311 per person for the 7-night Captivating Rhine cruise departing from Amsterdam to Basel on February 5, 2026, inclusive of flights and transfers.
