Cruise Plus has partnered with Ponant to launch the new Pearls of the Society Islands itinerary under its Luxury by Cruise Plus brand.
Danny Giles, Ponant’s business development manager, led a familiarisation (FAM) tour for 4 travel agents and two Cruise Plus ambassadors to showcase the new itinerary. The tour was conducted aboard the Paul Gauguin, part of the Luxury by Cruise Plus fleet.
The voyage commenced from Papeete, Tahiti, and included stops at Huahine, Raiatea, Taha’s Motu Mahana, Bora Bora, and Moorea. After completing the cruise, participants returned to Papeete for an extended stay in Tahiti before flying home.
Mark Henderson, head of specialist product at Cruise Plus, remarked that this FAM trip is truly unique and no other operator has offered such an experience in a FAM trip befor. Cruising around French Polynesia’s beautiful islets and atolls is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, made possible through the partnership with Ponant.
This marks the second consecutive year that Cruise Plus has collaborated with Ponant for a FAM trip. Last year, agents explored Belize with the brand. For this year’s trip, luxury cruise agents were carefully selected to introduce the Pearls of the Society Islands route.
The Luxury by Cruise Plus portfolio, launched in 2023, features an array of luxury cruise partners offering a collection of exceptional ships and itineraries. Ponant remains a key partner in this esteemed portfolio.
