CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) has announced that this year’s UK & Ireland Cruise Week will take place from September 16-22.
The annual event will feature a range of trade-friendly activities and initiatives, complemented by consumer outreach efforts throughout the week.
2024's Cruise Week will focus on the #DiscoverMore destination theme, highlighted during CLIA’s conference in May. This theme allows the industry to showcase various cruise destinations and the experiences available at ports.
During the week, CLIA will share information and insights on destinations through expert interviews, webinars, and live broadcasts. Additionally, it will collaborate with member cruise lines to offer trade incentives, special offers, and news, supported by extensive social media activities featuring shareable content and a focus on a different destination each day.
To further engage agents in destination experiences, CLIA will host its Destination Showcase in Gibraltar during the week.
More details will be announced soon.
Andy Harmer (managing director for CLIA UK & Ireland) said they are very excited to announce this year’s CLIA Cruise Week, as it will once again present the ideal opportunity for agents to capitalise on the momentum thet're seeing across all sectors of the industry.
"The destination focus was a real hit during CLIA Conference, with agents able to use their new-found insight and expertise to further aid cruise sales, so we’re looking forward to further enhancing their know-how in September."
