Resorts World Cruises is set to return to Taiwan for a second consecutive year with the deployment of the Resorts World One ship, commencing her first voyage from Keelung on Friday, July 12.
From July 12 to September 22, 2024, the vessel will offer bi-weekly roundtrip cruises to Kyushu and Okinawa, Japan. Passengers can choose between a 2-night Okinawa Weekend Getaway Cruise departing every Friday and a 5-night cruise departing every Sunday from Keelung to multiple destinations including Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Naha, Miyakojima, Ishigaki, and Motobu. Additionally, select 2- and 4-night Okinawa Cruises will be available from Kaohsiung starting August 18, 2024.
To mark the maiden voyage from Keelung, Resorts World Cruises’ management team, including President Michael Goh, Vice President of Sales Victoria Hsu, and Captain Johan Bohman of Resorts World One, welcomed Lu Zhan You, Vice President of Administration of the Taiwan International Ports Corporation Ltd (TIPC), to officiate the inaugural sailing, which departed with a full capacity of 3,600+ passengers and crew.
Resorts World One ship is scheduled for 24 homeport sailings during the 3-month deployment, expected to significantly boost the tourism sector and local economy through various services such as provisioning, bunkering, transportation, and more. The initiative also aims to contribute to the academic development of tourism-related industries.
