The second China-built large cruise ship is approaching completion after 3+ months of assembly. The vessel's 3-layer hull+superstructure is now fully formed, indicating that ~80% of the sections are assembled.

Since docking in April, 28 sections and 26 subsections have been successfully assembled. The current focus is on structural welding and equipment installation.

This is the second ship (Adora TBN) of Adora Cruises/Carnival China but with several enhancements over the sistership Adora Magic City. With a volume/gross tonnage of 141,900 GT-tons 6400 tons increase) and a LOA length of 341 m/1119 ft (17,4 m longer), the vessel provides additional space for passengers. The number of passenger staterooms is also increased (by 19) to 2144 total.

To improve environmental performance, the ship features 2 sets of desulfurization systems and 5 advanced environmental protection systems.

Cutting-edge technologies are integral to the ship's construction, including a "three-dimensional integrated" big data platform and a design data management platform. These technologies enable a digitalized, intelligent, and visualized design process, improving management and control efficiency. The use of welding robots, the industrial internet of things, and automation equipment further enhances the construction process.

Additionally, the design layout has been optimized to expand public areas, outdoor leisure spaces, and entertainment facilities, promising an enriched experience for passengers.

Despite her larger size and enhanced features, the construction of this second ship is progressing more rapidly than her predecessor. Construction efficiency is projected to be 20% higher, resulting in a shortened docking cycle of ~8 months. This accelerated timeline is attributed to the robust implementation of "digital shipbuilding" technologies.
