RCI-Royal Caribbean International's newest shipUtopia of the Seas, is at Port Canaveral, Florida, today for her christening voyage. Following the ceremony, the ship will sail to Royal Caribbean's private Bahamian island Coco Cay, over the next 3 days.

This exclusive voyage is not available for public bookings. Only invited/VIP guests, including 52 competition winners and their companions, will be on board. These guests typically comprise company representatives, business partners, and media.

Singer Meghan Trainor will christen the Utopia OTS and perform live at the event. Royal Caribbean has planned a significant celebration for their 6th Oasis Class ship. Delivered approximately a month ago, the ship was handed over to RCI by the French shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique/STX France (Saint Nazaire) on June 13th. The ship crossed the Atlantic with only crew members on board, arriving at Port Canaveral on July 11, 2024. Utopia then completed a test trip to Coco Cay on July 13, 2024, and begins her christening voyage today, July 15th.

Utopia OTS has scheduled 3- and 4-day Bahamas itineraries leaving roundtrip from Port Canaveral year-round. Each itinerary stops at Coco Cay and Nassau. Royal Caribbean markets these voyages as the ultimate weekend experience, emphasizing that every day on board feels like the weekend.

The Utopia OTS has LOA length 362 m (~1188 ft), width/beam 64 m (~210 ft), 2834 passenger staterooms, max capacity 7958 passengers (5668 at double occupancy) plus 2290 staff/crew.

Unlike the previously launched OASIS-class sisterships, Utopia OTS is LNG-powered by design.
