CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's ship Mardi Gras (Excel Class vessel) will return to Europe for a drydock refurbishment, offering travelers the opportunity to book Carnival Transatlantic cruises in 2025.

The Excel Class, which also includes the sisterships Carnival Celebration and Carnival Jubilee, represents CCL's largest ships typically operating exclusively from the USA.

European guests now have the chance to book a 2025 cruise from Port Canaveral (Florida USA) to Barcelona (Spain) or vice versa, avoiding round-trip flights across the Atlantic. Each of these transatlantic cruises will last 14 nights and feature additional ports of call, including CCL's exclusive destination Celebration Key Bahamas.

While details of the drydock have not been disclosed, the renovation is expected to involve routine maintenance and class inspections rather than major upgrades.

The 14-day eastbound Atlantic crossing starts on Sept 13th (2025), with the return voyage (14-day westbound crossing) scheduled for Oct 16th. For an extensive relocation cruise schedule (ships/dates/homeports) see RepositionCruises.com

Upon her return to the USA, Mardi Gras will resume regular Caribbean voyages out of Cape Canaveral.
