RCI-Royal Caribbean International, along with GRAMMY-winning singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor, inaugurated the Utopia of the Seas with a grand summer celebration in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida.
As the godmother of the new ship, Trainor presided over the naming ceremony on board, attended by 4,000+ guests, including the legendary Rev Run and DJ Ruckus, as well as Royal Caribbean crew and executives. This event precedes the ship's debut on July 19th, when Utopia OTS will commence her 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday itineraries.
Trainor took center stage at the open-air AquaTheater to officially bless the ship, her crew, and future passengers. She performed live, thrilling the audience, which included 50+ fans selected from 20,000+ entrants. The event marked the beginning of Utopia's 3-night celebration cruise, featuring a live concert hosted by Trainor at Royal Caribbean’s Bahamian private island CocoCay.
Utopia of the Seas promises a vibrant and memorable short getaway with a range of experiences designed to capture weekend energy every day of the week. The ship offers 40+ dining, drinking, and entertainment options, including exclusive parties, two casinos, and the unique Royal Railway – Utopia Station, an immersive train car dining experience. Additional attractions include numerous pools, the longest dry slide at sea, and spectacular entertainment across air, ice, water, and stage.
The festivities extend to CocoCay, which features 14 waterslides, the Caribbean’s largest freshwater swimming pool, and the newly opened adults-only Hideaway Beach with private cabanas and a live DJ. Starting Friday, guests can enjoy Utopia’s 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday cruises, exploring CocoCay and Nassau, Bahamas, while making unforgettable memories on the ultimate short getaway.
